Exactly what I was looking for!
Perfect for elbow support if you don't have an 'L' shaped desk. Wanted to build something like this but happened to look for it on Geendank. So glad I did. Does the job perfectly. A word of caution: it would be a good idea to cut out two small pieces of felt between the metal tabs and the top of the desk. I detached the device to move it and found it had left two marks on my wooden desk.

desk extender
I have a large ultrawide monitor on a desk that is not very deep. This arm allows me to move my monitor back for a better view. Holds weight without a hitch and folds out of the way when not needed.

Very well
Bought this for my home office. I thought I had enough space to hang this. It really does take a lot of space to mount so if you don't have a lot of overhang on your desk this might not work. Fully tightened it still slides off the desk. You can't put much weight on this so if you know you're leaning on your mouse hand you're going to have a bad time. The top of the supports has damaged the finish of my desk. I wouldn't use this on glass tabletops without some extra padding. That said it's not bad but not great. I expected more for the price.

Great solution for a desk that isn't deep enough.
It's really amazing how there is almost always a product that solves such a specific problem. I've always hated not having a place to rest my arm while working on my Cintiq. I finally looked around and found this. Man it's perfect! Super comfortable resting position for me now. The device itself has to be mounted but it is very simple. You only need a Phillips screwdriver for the included self-tapping screws to mount the backets to the board. They even had extra screws provided which was really nice. Once mounted it was very sturdy and does not move around. You can feel good if you let your arm/elbow rest naturally on it. Maybe you can even store drinks or snacks in it? For the price I don't think I could have made something so beautiful or functional myself.
